The ITIL PPO (Planning, Protection and Optimization) Certification is one of the modules of ITIL Capability Stream which has been designed to build organization’s understanding of the ITIL Service Design processes. It helps to ensure that new or updated services, service management systems, technical architecture, measurement systems, methods and metrics should be designed to fulfil client requirements and would need little further change once introduced.

Course description

The Planning, Protection and Optimization (PPO) is the one of the modules from ITIL Service Capability Stream which mainly focuses on practical application of PPO practices to enable the capacity, IT service continuity, availability, information security and demand management.

PPO course content is mainly based on the best practices guidance contained in ITIL Service Design Publication.

PPO is so well designed to develop the organizations and individuals understanding of the ITIL Service Design processes which helps to ensure that new and updated services, service management systems and tool, processes and measurement systems, technology architecture, methods and metrics are designed to meet end user needs.

The PPO module is worth 4 credit out of 17 required before proceeding for Managing Across Lifecycle module.
